Working in the
City was the third architectural ideas competition
promoted by the European Commission. It emphasised
daylight as an important passive solar design issue in
working places and buildings associated with learning.
This book documents the winning entries of the
competition organised in 1988 and 1989 and celebrates the
excellence with which this rather complex challenge was
met by students and architects from every Member
State. Edited by
