ZRMK
TIG, is a daughter company of Civil Engineering Institute ZRMK and it
represents the R&D core of the ZRMK system. Department for Building
Physics, Sustainable Building and Energy in Buildings is focused on determination
of technical, economically viable and socially acceptable energy saving
potential and related projects in existing buildings, as well as on development
and implementation of new solutions for improved energy efficiency and
sustainability of new buildings in the domain of insulation, daylighting
and renewables.
The department developed a pilot project of state incentives for increased
implementation of RUE measures in the building sector (loft insulation,
drough-prooofing, energy efficient windows and glazing) and assisted to
the government in the preparation of technical regulation and other strategic
documents concerning energy efficiency and sustainable building.
To upgrade technical criteria of energy efficiency and thus create integral
sustainable criteria for choice of windows, the institute developed the
National Quality Label in Civil Engineering for energy efficient
windows. The labels have been awarded since 1997 and supported national
programme of subsidies for windows.
Currently the institute fosters the implementation of EE technologies
and approaches in new and refurbished buildings and further develops energy
certification / labelling of buildings. ZRMK has established a dissemination
network offering the information to various target groups though courses,
exhibitions in the Building Centre of Slovenia and energy advisory network.
