Black Sea Regional Energy
Centre and the Technical University of Sofia The
Black Sea Regional Energy Centre was established in 1995 at the initiative
of the European Commission, under its SYNERGY programme. Currently, the
BSREC comprise 13 member-countries from the region. The Centre acts as
a focal point for energy related activities, aimed at developing co-operation
between the Black Sea region countries and the EU in the energy field.
The Centers core activity is targeted to promote the development
and implementation of market oriented energy policy, to encourage restructuring
of the monopoly structures, to encourage energy efficiency projects, assist
investment and funding, and enable the collection and dissemination of
energy related information at regional level. |
